Holding
I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all; but whatever I have placed in God's hands, that I still possess.

Pleasing God
People with a living faith
make it their desire to please God. They
come before God with their gifts, not because it is a duty to perform or
because they think that God needs it, but because they know that they need God
and need to acknowledge that he is the source of all life and goodness. It is not so much what they give, but how
they give themselves in worship, for the proper attitude in offering anything
to God must be one of submission to the Lord.

Concience
A well-developed conscience is a painful thing to carry around in this world. But even worse is not carrying one at all.

Superficial
Superficiality is the curse
of our age. The doctrine of instant satisfaction is a primary spiritual
problem. The desperate need today is not for a greater number of intelligent
people, or gifted people, but for deep people.

The Seven Spiritual Problems

There are seven spiritual problems that can sap
your health and vitality. In order to be healthy,
these problems need to be addressed. They are as or more important than addressing your blood pressure, weight, diabetes or any health related screening your doctor may recommend. In fact, not addressing these spiritual problems likely exacerbates or contributes to some health problems.
Spiritual problems are fundamentally disruptions in relationships: your relationship with God, others and yourself.
The seven spiritual problems are
Guilt
Bitterness
Loneliness
Fear
Addiction
Lack of purpose
Lack of connection with the Divine
This lenten season make a point to address any underlying spiritual problems that are adversely affecting your relationships with others, your health and vitality.
